Parents constantly hear about the importance of reading to their children. While some children immediately love story time, others quickly flip through the pages or declare the dreaded “my read!” as they take the book from you. Busy little hands need something to do, and we sometimes need to build a bridge to loving book time. Here are my favorite books to foster a love of reading in your young child.

Most parents can’t wait to hear their child’s voice. Whether it’s “mama”, “dada”, or “woof woof”, verbal communication is a major milestone.  Sometimes those words come easily, and you want to do everything you can to help their vocabulary grow.  Maybe your child is talking but only seems to use a handful of words.  Or maybe you’re wondering when they should combine words into phrases.  If you have questions about building your child’s vocabulary, then this post is for you.
